The sensor touchpad/controls got harder and harder to use and were at best temperamental. I had to contact Electrolux for repair and they came out on three separate occasions with the repair only lasting a month at best. This left me waiting in between repairs with no cooktop at all, over a period of 5 months. The recommended repair men had no real clue how to fix my cooktop and the second repair guy was constantly on the phone to to Electrolux support for help but in the end it could not be repaired.
Luckily I had taken out the extended warranty with Electroloux and received a full refund and I am hesitant to buy another of there products even though I did like it when it was working. Maybe I just had a bad one...

The configuration of burners on this cooktop are awkward to say the least. If using a large pan or pot on the lower left larger burner, you can only (and barely) fit the tiniest pot on the burner immediately above it. It's laid out terribly. I haven't even used it as yet since it was just installed the other day. I tried out the layout today and am incredibly disappointed and unhappy we chose this item. I SO wish I had taken a few of my pots and pans with me when making a decision. Be very careful before deciding on this cooktop.

PROS - Induction cooktop technology is truly amazing and the only heat that is given off is the heat in the pot/pan. The induction side takes less than half the time to heat the pan and boil water as the regular elements, and is overwhelmingly faster than the highest btu gas burner in my previous cooktop.
CONS - I wish I bought a full induction cooktop. I also wish I bought a unit with no stainless border trim. Keeping the unit clean is a major hassle, as the stainless border is easily scratched by pots and crumbs and spilled liquids constantly get caught underneath it. The touch sensors do not like to get wet and the entire unit becomes disabled until it is wiped dry.
OVERALL - The pros outweigh the cons and I will never go back to gas or standard electric. However, better options exist. Get a full induction with a completely smooth top that is easier to clean.
